QEBoys application and admissions timeline basics
The dates below are the September 2027 entry-cycle records mounted in the course specification. Use them as a planning aid, then confirm every live detail with QE Barnet before applying.

Understand the published eligibility boundary
- The current 2027 minimum standard is a combined score of or higher for eligibility for consideration.
- Meeting does not guarantee an offer and should not be called a pass mark or safe score.
- QE records a published admission number of 180 and no catchment area in the reviewed guide.
- Distance from the permanent home address to the main school gate is used as a tie-break only when candidates have equal scores.
- The school does not publish a raw-score conversion, so practice marks must stay in their labelled practice column.
The two subject results are age-standardised and combined by the school. The course therefore reports correct answers, pace, skips and transfer errors instead of inventing a raw-to-standardised formula.
Use a parent checklist
- Save the live admissions page and check whether the entry year matches your child's application.
- Record the registration opening and closing instructions in the family calendar.
- Keep the test invitation, assigned date and any school communication together.
- Use the roadmap to plan preparation, but do not change a school date because a practice session went well or badly.
- After results, read the official message and allocation guidance before drawing conclusions.
