Understand the published eligibility boundary

  • The current 2027 minimum standard is a combined score of 225225 or higher for eligibility for consideration.
  • Meeting 225225 does not guarantee an offer and should not be called a pass mark or safe score.
  • QE records a published admission number of 180 and no catchment area in the reviewed guide.
  • Distance from the permanent home address to the main school gate is used as a tie-break only when candidates have equal scores.
  • The school does not publish a raw-score conversion, so practice marks must stay in their labelled practice column.

The two subject results are age-standardised and combined by the school. The course therefore reports correct answers, pace, skips and transfer errors instead of inventing a raw-to-standardised formula.

Use a parent checklist

  1. Save the live admissions page and check whether the entry year matches your child's application.
  2. Record the registration opening and closing instructions in the family calendar.
  3. Keep the test invitation, assigned date and any school communication together.
  4. Use the roadmap to plan preparation, but do not change a school date because a practice session went well or badly.
  5. After results, read the official message and allocation guidance before drawing conclusions.
